Carlos Promoted to Head of Culinary & Innovation at Unibake USA

We are excited to announce the promotion of Carlos Villanueva to Head of Culinary and Innovation at Lantmännen Unibake USA.
Over the past four years, Carlos has played a key role in supporting the sales and marketing efforts at Unibake USA, helping strengthen our presence across both foodservice and retail in-store bakery channels. Through his culinary expertise and creative vision, he has trained our sales teams and broker network on our portfolio of artisan breads and European pastries while helping generate new business opportunities through customer presentations, trade shows, and product ideation.
Carlos is widely recognized for his passion for culinary innovation and his ability to transform food trends into commercially successful concepts. His talent for balancing creativity with operational efficiency has helped position Unibake USA as a trusted partner for customers seeking trend-forward bakery solutions and menu inspiration.
In his new role as Head of Culinary and Innovation, Carlos will lead our Research & Development teams and oversee key new product development processes. He will focus on identifying market opportunities, leveraging manufacturing capabilities, and driving innovation strategies that support both customer needs and long-term business growth.
Carlos holds a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts from The Culinary Institute of America and is also a Certified Executive Chef (CEC) through the American Culinary Federation. Beyond his work at Unibake USA, he actively participates in industry organizations, serves on local culinary boards, and teaches as a culinary instructor at academies throughout the Southeast.
Outside of work, Carlos enjoys cooking and baking at home, spending time with his wife, Esther, practicing Taekwondo as a 4th Degree Black Belt, and fishing.
