Our sourcing commitment
Unibake wishes to strengthen ties with our supplier partners. We work to map strategic suppliers, their capabilities and their sustainability initiatives in order to set new targets for our value chain strategy.
To ensure suppliers meet our requirements, we have a process in place for evaluating them. A risk score identifies those suppliers that are high risk, based on, for example, their country or category of operation and performance track record. This evaluation results in an audit plan, where audits are conducted by our own people or by third party auditors.
Goals
We want our 800 suppliers to be certified according to a standard recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), preferably the British Retail Consortium (BRC) standard.
We also monitor compliance with the Lantmännen Supplier Code of Conduct (SCoC). Our goal is that 95% of suppliers with annual orders above $100,000 sign the SCoC. The current compliance rate is 92 %.
